Maestro Alexander Koschel (Switzerland) is the head organist at the Catholic cathedral in the city of Lenzerheide in Switzerland, and the artistic director of the international “Wednesday Evenings” festival there. Koschel studied in Germany, Russia and Austria, received is Philosophy Doctorate from the Graetz University, and has mastered not only organ playing but academic research, scientific editing, and the restoration of organs. Alexander Koschel has recorded a lot for broadcasting services, and his speciality in mid-German music has place him at the top of the organ masters of today. Koschel will play Works by Giovanni Battista Ferrini, Georg Leyding, Claude-Benigne Ballbastre, Gustav Adolf Merkel, and others.
